About the Speaker: Dr Zheng Jun is an Assistant Professor from Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Macau. He obtained his PhD in Molecular Microbiology from National University of Singapore and Msc in Cell Biology from Northeast Normal University (China). He re-ceived his Postdoc training in Dept. of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Harvard Medical School, and Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases after PhD graduation. After three years working as a senior Scientist/Team leader in Vela Diagnostics, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in University of Macau. Dr Zheng’s research interest includes understanding of pathogenic bacterial secretion system and development of new generation of antibacterials. His studies have been published in PNAS, Angewandte Chemie, JBC, Molecular Mi-crobiology and other high-impact peer reviewed journals.​
